Standard Veterans' Tax Credit

Veterans who served 90+ days in qualifying conflicts receive a $50 credit off property taxes. Municipalities may adopt an optional $500 credit.

If adopted by the municipality, provides a $50 (or optional $500) credit for veterans who served 90+ days active duty, not limited to wartime service.

Disabled Veterans' Tax Credit

100%+

Veterans with a total and permanent service-connected disability receive a $700 property tax credit. Municipalities may adopt an optional $4,000 credit.

Eligibility: Veterans rated 100% permanently and totally disabled by the VARSA 72:35

Surviving Spouse Property Tax Credit

All Veterans

Un-remarried surviving spouses of veterans who died on active duty or from a service-connected disability receive a $700 credit, with an optional $2,000 credit if adopted by the municipality.
