Property Tax

Veterans with service-connected disability receive a property tax exemption based on their disability rating: 60-79% exempts the first $6,250 of assessed value, 80-99% exempts $12,500, and 100% exempts $25,000.
Unremarried surviving spouses of qualifying veterans retain the exemption. Application is filed with the county assessor's office with VA disability documentation.
Veteran Tax Exemption (All Veterans)
All honorably discharged veterans receive a $2,000 exemption off the assessed value of their vehicle or real property, with no disability requirement.
